QA Manual Tester

About Codezilla

We are a software development and digital marketing agency with integrated teams, delivering complex digital products and performance-driven digital marketing projects.

At Codezilla, strategy, creativity, data and technology work together. We collaborate closely across teams, test ideas, optimize continuously and focus on work that brings real results, not just nice reports.

What you’ll do

  • Analyse user stories, acceptance criteria and technical specifications in order to define the testing scope and priorities for each feature.
  • Create test plans and test scenarios with full coverage of the acceptance criteria, and estimate the testing effort for new features.
  • Write and maintain test cases for functional, integration and system testing, covering happy path, negative cases and edge cases, complemented by exploratory testing in high-risk areas.
  • Run smoke and sanity checks on new builds, regression testing before each release, and retesting on every delivered fix.
  • Compare the implementation against the design files and report visual and behavioural discrepancies.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing across a defined matrix of resolutions and devices, on both web and mobile applications.
  • Verify accessibility (WCAG) and technical SEO elements against the agreed specifications.
  • Perform API testing and validate data consistency between the interface, the API and the database.
  • Report and track defects throughout their entire lifecycle, documenting reproduction steps, supporting evidence and the correct severity and priority classification.
  • Collaborate with the development, design and product teams to clarify features and define the testing approach.
  • Support UAT sessions, run post-release checks and investigate incidents reported from production.
  • Produce test reports and status updates for the project team

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manual software testing on web and mobile applications.
  • Solid understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC) and of Agile/Scrum methodologies, including the distinction between smoke, sanity, regression and retesting.
  • Ability to translate user stories and acceptance criteria into concrete and complete test scenarios.
  • Knowledge of API testing (Postman, Swagger or equivalent) and basic SQL for data validation.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for organizing test cases and maintaining traceability between requirements, tests and defects.
  • Familiarity with Figma for comparing the implementation against the design.
  • Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-device testing tools (BrowserStack or similar).
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) and technical SEO.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot functional and visual inconsistencies.
  • Analytical thinking: the ability to isolate the root cause of a defect, to distinguish between a defect, an unclear requirement and a product decision, and to recognize systemic issues behind recurring defects.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • English - advanced level, written and spoken.
